Briony Fisher
Whether you are an experienced yogi or new to the practice, Briony’s teaching is all about self discovery.
“Using movement, breathwork, music and laughter, I want to help people uncover a little piece of themselves each time they step on the mat. No pressure, no perfection required.”
Briony came to yoga over 10 years ago to help combat the stress of working in the 24/7 corporate world, travelling extensively and commuting regularly from Brighton to London. The sudden death of her father meant stepping off the beaten path and carving a new one.
After becoming a teacher and founding her business Breathe Bend Believe Yoga over 8 years ago, she now teaches flow classes in and around Brighton & Hove and hosts local day and residential retreats throughout the year.
Briony is also the team yoga teacher at Premier League football club Brighton and Hove Albion and has spent the last five seasons working across the First, U21’s and Women’s Teams.
Having completed trainings with Sarah Ramsden (yoga teacher at Manchester United and Manchester City) she and is passionate about helping elite and non-elite athletes better integrate strength, mobility and mindset development work into their training, with the aim of helping them do what they love for longer.
A mum of two, she is also pre/postnatally qualified and having taught and practiced throughout two pregnancies, Briony champions building movement confidence in mothers, both during and after pregnancy.
“The way I teach is rooted in my belief that there is no one approach to anything in life or yoga. Self discovery requires the blurring of lines and pushing of boundaries. Taking the traditional and asking questions of it and more importantly, taking what we think we know about ourselves and asking questions.
We move to explore and every one of my classes invites the opportunity to move inward as well as outwards”
